About B.J.
Howdy! I’m B.J. Westmoreland, and for the past five years, it has been a pleasure to serve as your representative on the Caldwell County Commissioners Court for Precinct 1 as well as Judge Pro Tem since 2020. During my time as commissioner, I, along with my colleagues on the court, have worked to ensure that our county remains not only a great place to live and raise a family, but that it is also poised to handle the enormous challenges and opportunities that come with being situated in one of the fastest growing areas of the nation.
Deep Roots: 6th Generation Caldwell County Resident and proud graduate of Lockhart High School Class of 2001.
Educated: Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy from Texas A&M University. Class of 2005.
Family: Wife: Erin since 2008; Children: Jack, attending LJHS and Reese attending Clear Fork Elementary.
Entrepreneur & Ag Producer: Manage and operate 200 acre family farm in Caldwell County. Previous owner of irrigation and landscaping company.
Fair: Committed to impartial and responsible implementation of county ordinances.
Growth: Rural resident who recognizes the challenges and potential of our rapidly growing county.
